St. Georges Technical High School  To Host Presentation on Making College Affordable

St. Georges will host a session for interested families on the topic “Making College Affordable,”presented by Navigate Financial Aid on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 6:30 p.m., in the school’s lecture hall.  The presentation will cover and overview of the FAFSA process, when and how to file for financial aid, how to calculate Expected Family Contribution (EFC), strategies to lower EFC, explanation of percentage of needs met, Stafford and PLUS loans, and payment strategies.

 

St. Georges Senior Winner of State Outstanding Vo-Tech Student Award

St. Georges Web and Print Technology student Kerry Moore was one of three students selected statewide to receive an Outstanding Vo-Tech Student award by the Delaware Advisory Council on Career and Technical Education.  Kerry was nominated by her St. Georges Web and Print Technology teacher Jackie Czachorowski.

She was honored at an award’s ceremony in Dover this summer.
