Summer Beer Garden to Open in Whitehall

We’re proud to announce a partnership with Imian Partners, creators of Wilmington’s Constitution Yards, to form The Beer Garden at Whitehall! This summer long entertainment venue will open in late May and will operate Thursday through Sunday into October. Proceeds from The Beer Garden will benefit the non-profit Stop Soldier Suicide for the annual “Vet Fest” hosted every year.

The Beer Garden at Whitehall will feature a weekly live music lineup, craft beer from local microbreweries, artisanal food trucks and family entertainment. According to Town Founder Brian DiSabatino, “We are excited to have formed this multi-year partnership with the folks from Constitution Yards. The local community told us they were ready for a recurring form of casual entertainment and we think they are really going to like what we have planned. The fact that Imian is so excited about Whitehall adds to our collective enthusiasm.”

Imian Partners is a New York based real estate and hospitality company that owns and operates concepts in Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania and Delaware, including local favorites, Spice Finch and El Poquito (Philadelphia) and Constitution Yards (Wilmington). Imian also helped develop and open DE.CO, Wilmington’s groundbreaking food hall. Imian principal John Heil, a DelMarVa native son, commented, “The Beer Garden at Whitehall is an exciting venture for us. Constitution Yards has allowed us to absorb the culture of Delaware and only stoked our enthusiasm to grow more concepts locally. When we saw the opportunity to join forces with Whitehall we jumped at it. We have designed The Beer Garden with a ‘come one, come all’ laid back, summer festival vibe in mind. Dogs and strollers are welcomed with open arms. Kids can run around and play in our expansive sandbox while parents relax and enjoy terrific live music, exciting food truck fare, craft ales, wine and spirits.”

Activities at The Beer Garden will include cornhole tournaments, tap takeovers, live music, yoga, ‘yappy’ hours, Oktoberfest and more. Apart from activities at The Beer Garden, other exciting summer events include the annual Arts in April festival on Saturday April 23 at 10 am, the Ronald McDonald House 5K on June 9 at 5:30 pm, The Delaware Down Syndrome Walk on September 17, and Vet Fest on September 24.
